Man rescued from electric pole while trying to commit suicide

The man climbed the electric pole 7am this morning at the Leki area of Lagos state in his effort to commit suicide.

He rejected all pleads by the PHCN personnel and security agents to come down from the pole. But some minutes later both the LASEMA and Lagos Fire Service came around to bring him down.

Knowing he was about to be brought down, he jumped on the roof of a building and was injured. He was overpowered and subsequently taken to Eti-Osa primary health care centre where he is receiving treatment. He said his name is Frederick Gino from Cameroon and didn't know how he got to Nigeria.
