The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has dismissed speculations that the Federal Government has withdrawn the 2016 Appropriation Bill from the National Assembly for certain “alterations.”

Mohammed said on Monday that the speculation was a “big lie.He said,  "There is nothing like that, we don’t know where they are getting that story.”

Also speaking on the matter, the Senate Leader, Mohammed Ali Ndume who spoke with the newspaper said the budget proposal was not withdrawn. He said it was impossible to withdraw the budget, noting that it could only be adjusted during its defence at the National Assembly.
