Interviewed by the City People 3 months ago,  the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunnusi promised to transform the ancient city of Ile Ife starting from the ancient palace.

He told City People that old structures would be rebuilt and the palace revamped. He said though it was not going to be an easy task, he would spend his private money to accomplish all he had to do. “Its not easy, it’s all about passion,  “he told City People . “I am not perfect. But I have never failed. Even if I am running 50 projects at the same time, one might suffer a bit, than  the other but I have never failed.

"Look at my antecedents. I have had challenges. But at the end of the day I will come out strong. I am used to it. I have always been working every time of my life. I don’t do any other thing other than work.

I am very focused. I am determined to leave this place better than I met it,” said the Monarch

The Ooni has done a lot within so short a time to transform his immediate environment. For instance he has totally revamped the palace of the Ooni in Ile Ife. Not only has he changed the main gates leading into the palace, he has tarred all the roads within the palace, according to the City People.

He recently completed the reconstruction of his new residential complex inside the palace. It took him 5 months to build and that is where he lives now. He rebuilt the building into a modern day building and renovated it to his taste.

The building was where the late Ooni Adejoji Aderemi lived. It was originally built in 1937. It was used as official residence by Oba Aderemi. It also served as a Olori Morisola Sijuwade’s residence from 1980 to 2015.  He has also renovated the Ooni’s office too.

A man of sartorial elegance the Ooni has acquired new limousines befitting his status. He has a Bentley and a Rolls Royce Phantom.

See the grandma who becomes British's oldest bridesmaid at 100

A grandma Martha has become Britain's oldest bridesmaid when she followed her granddaughter down the aisle at the wedding ceremony on her 100th birthday, according to Xinhua, London.

Photos of the wedding was posted on Tuesday by photographer Beth Faulder on his studio's blog, showing bride Vita Cresswell, 29, welcomes and kisses her grandmother Martha Wallbank before the wedding.

As the Huffington Post reported, when Cresswell told her grandmother that she would marry her partner of eight years, Gary Whineray, the proud gran asked to be the bridesmaid. Wallbank's zeal moved the couple and inspired them to get her even more involved. Therefore, they chose the wedding day to coincide with Wallbank's 100th birthday.

"It couldn't have worked out any better," Cresswell said. "We got her posies and she was in the same colors as the other bridesmaids. She was singing and laughing and waving at everybody," she said.

At the wedding, after the young couple tied the knot, the vicar announced that it was also Wallbank's big day and the whole congregation sang "Happy Birthday" to her.

"She is such a big part of all our lives. She's amazing," said Cresswell.

Read how 16 young girls were impregnated in the swimming pool by sperms of a boy.

16 young teenage girls between the age of 13 and 17 years of age have become pregnant after a pool party went terribly wrong, reports the Tallahassee Herald this morning.

A simple weekend pool party turned to tragedy when one of the young men (Tommy Coulter) attending the birthday celebration ejaculated in the pool without warning the house guests, accidentally ending up impregnating half of the girls present at the celebration.

“I’m glad I didn’t have my swimsuit that day,” remembers Daliah Jennings, present during the celebration. “It was a surprise party to celebrate my 15th birthday, let’s just say that a baby in my womb is the kind of present I’m glad I didn’t get” she acknowledges, visibly relieved of not getting pregnant.

“Nothing like an orgy”
Tommy Coulter claims there was no sex at the party at all and that he only ejaculated in the pool by accident.
“Some people in town say we had some kind of wild sex orgy going on and that’s how I got all those girls pregnant, but I’m proud to say that I am still a virgin and that if anyone doesn’t believe me, I’m ready to undergo medical examination to prove it if that’s what it takes,” says the 15 year old. “I’ve become some sort of a local celebrity. People come up to me all the time and shake my hand and congratulate me, but I didn’t do anything!” he adds, visibly sincere.

“Highly” potent sperm
Dr. John Suzukima of Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Hospital, who was the first to link the multiple births to a single cause, believes Tommy Coulter has a rare medical condition called spermafortis which makes his semen unusually potent.

“Clinical tests have proven that people who suffer from spermafortis have sperm counts close to a thousand times more potent and rich in spermatozoids than the average man,” he explains. “This kind of semen is fairly similar to that of common water mammals, such as dolphins, manatees and seals and has properties that make it incredibly resistant to water. This condition could definitely explain what happened in this case but clinical trials and further tests would be needed to prove this theory,” he told local reporters.
Most of the 16 girls are scheduled to undergo an abortion although two of the impregnated girls’ families have reportedly admitted that they have decided to bring the birth to term being devout Christians.

Improper dressing: Edo lawmakers walk out commissioner

Members of the Edo State House of Assembly, on Wednesday, asked the Commissioner for Health, Mrs Aihamuwa Eregie, to leave the assembly chambers for 'improper dressing.'

Eregie was asked to leave the hallowed chamber during the presentation of the 2015 budget performance of the Ministry of Health.

The News Agency of Nigeria reported that the commissioner wore long sleeve shirt on trouser. Deputy Speaker, Mr Bright Osayande (APC- Ovia North-East II), who raised the observation, said the commissioner was not properly dressed and should not be allowed to appear before the assembly. Mr Adjoto Kabiru (APC Akoko-Edo), who agreed with the observation, said that the commissioner’s mode of dressing contravened the house rule.

"Mr speaker, you will recall that when one of us was not properly dressed, he was asked to leave the chamber. So the commissioner should excuse us because she is not properly dressed," Kabiru said.

Other lawmakers, who commented on the point raised by the deputy speaker, gave their unanimous support that the commissioner should leave the chamber.

They asked the commissioner to leave despite pleas by Mrs Elizabeth Ativie, member representing Uhunmwode constituency. The Speaker, Mr Victor Edoror, thereafter directed the commissioner to leave the chamber.
He said that a new date would be communicated to her to appear for the briefing.
