Olisa Metuh appears in court handcuffed

The embattled National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh was brought to the Federal High Court Abuja by the officials of Nigerian Prison Service with handcuff in his hands amid tight security.

Metuh was sent to the prison by the court last week, and would appear in court today to push argument for the written bail application which the court directed him to file last week. He was remanded in Kuje prison custody over N400 million allegedly collected from ex-President Jonathan for an assignment he has refused to disclose.

The court equally asked the prosecution counsel to respond to the application accordingly. Metuh’s fate will be decided today as to whether he will be granted a bail or return to Kuje prison custody.
